19 Year Old Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team Driver Kimi Antonelli heads into the Canadian Grand prix this weekend leading the drivers World Championship standings, 20 points ahead of his teammate George Russell heading into Montreal this weekend. Kimi is on route to win his fourth consecutive f1 race and will become the youngest to do so taking the record off a legend of the sport Sebastian Vettel.
7 time world Champion Lewis Hamilton is level with current reigning world champion Lando Norris on 51. Despite this, based on performance, fans believe Lewis has had the stronger start to the season so far and could even fight for his 8th world title making him the most successful driver in the history of the sport in terms of world championships.

Stroll Insists Aston Martin can do something ‘very special’ despite a tough 2026 so far
Lance Stroll has voiced his confidence that his team Aston Martin can achieve great things in the future despite a difficult start to the 2026 formula 1 season, with the Canadian keen to “ride this tough spell out”.
The campaign had proven challenging for the squad before racing had even started, having only arrived at the Barcelona Shakedown for the final two days of running before struggling with reliability during pre season testing in Bahrain, leaving them wth the lowest lap count of all 11 teams.
Those issues continued when the championship got underway in Australia due to serious vibration issues that the 2 drivers suffered from. These vibrations made it near impossible to finish a whole race distance for the drivers. In Melbourne, Stroll finished the race 15 laps behind race winner George Russell, while his teammate, Fernando Alonso came into the pits to what seemed to be a retirement, yet he came out about 7 laps later to continue the race, 9 laps behind, Fernando eventually retired the car before he could bring it home.

This weekend marks the return of one of the most thrilling and exciting races the sport gets every year, from Jenson Button winning in the wet with 5 pit stops, Lewis and Jenson as McLaren teammates crashing into each other in 2011 and then history repeating itself 14 years on with the McLaren teammates crashing into one another on the straight down into turn one.
We saw the championship leader Oscar Piastri pull ahead of Lando Norris into the final chicane, as Lando received a great slipstream and DRS off his teammate. Lando decided to take the left hand side of the track to overtake where there was practically no room for his McLaren to fit. Yet he went for the unthinkable and took himself out of the race. However his teammate Oscar Piastri, managed to continue on in the race with no damage and go on to finish p4, increasing the gap in the world standings.
After the collision took place Lando took full responsibility for the collision and showed his empathy after the race for what could’ve resulted in a team catastrophe at McLaren, saying over the radio. “All my fault, Stupid from me”, and even saying to Oscar as he was being interviewed how it was all his fault and how apologetic he was. Oscar brushed off the incident calmly and jokily said “It’s alright, i ended out alright”.
Could there be a similar story happen again with another team in Montreal this weekend?
Could Kimi Antonelli achieve his 4th Grand Prix Victory on the bounce?
Or could George fight back at one of his strongest tracks?
