With the end of the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend, let’s see what happened across the weekend. Young Superstar Teenager Kimi Antonelli wins his 4th Consecutive Formula 1 Grand Prix as he takes a total of 31 out of a possible 33 points this Grand Prix – Sprint Weekend, with his teammate George Russell only taking 8 points home after a Sprint Win and overall a fantastic weekend up until lap 30 when Russells car seemed to lose power on the entry of turn 8 as he then continued onto the grass across the the chicane and finally coming to a halt after the exit of turn 9. Mercedes Boss Toto Wolff revealed the issue after the race. He stated, “It looks like a module failure, so a battery failure, because the car was literally going back”. This left his teammate Kimi Antonelli have quite an easy yet dominant race, staying roughly 10 seconds ahead of the rest of the field after his teammates incident, taking him to his 4th race win a row, creating a 43 point gap from his teammate in the Drivers World Championship.

Russell claimed his 3rd pole position in a row here at Montreal this weekend, also achieving, sprint pole and sprint win, yet unfortunately his weekend ended in despair. Yet his former teammate and a 7 Time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, achieved his best finish in Scarlett Red, claiming p2 after closing a 6 second gap to his former rival Max Verstappen. Ferraris seem to be favourites for next weeks Monaco Grand Prix as they’re corner speed seems to be 6 tenths faster than the rest of the grid and there is not much straight line speed advantage for the Mercedes to be on top. Fans Believe Lewis could make his first climb to the top step in a Ferrari, yet his 106th in his career.
Monaco is Charles Leclerc’s home Grand Prix and with this weekend seeming very promising for the Scuderia Ferrari, Leclerc could be going back to some home glory just like he did 2 years ago
McLaren starting P3 and P4 on the grid take an extremely bold move to start on the intermediate tyres. Lando Norris launched off the line getting him into P1 by the exit of turn 2, but the conditions were not suitable for the compound they started on, therefore Oscar Piastri went into the pits on lap 1 and Lando Norris went in on lap 2, putting them near the back of the grid. As they start to pick up places and clear the grid, they are lapped by the front running Mercedes. Lando then suffered from an engine problem which caused him to be not able to reach the chequered flag at a Canadian Grand Prix for the second year running. However his teammate Oscar Piastri went for a double overtake into turn 10 not long after his teammates exit from the race, and out braked himself and straight into the side of Alex Albon’s Williams, causing major damage to Albons car and his own. Putting Albon out of the race and Piastri having to box again. Mclaren could’ve been seen as “Hero’s” but ended looking like “Idiots” according to Oscar Piastri due to their Tyre choice for the race.
